PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Jeddah EV Charging Network was commissioned by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) and executed by EPC as part of Saudi Arabia's national EV Infrastructure Accelerator Programme.
The 240-station rollout covers 38 strategic sites across Jeddah, including King Abdulaziz International Airport, three major malls, and 15 public parking structures. Each site integrates a 150 kW DC fast-charger capable of delivering 80% charge to a mid-size EV in under 22 minutes.
Real-time station availability and energy usage data are transmitted to a central fleet management platform via 4G and fibre backhaul, enabling dynamic load balancing and predictive maintenance scheduling. The network became operational in Q3 2024 and surpassed 1 million charge sessions within its first eight months of operation.
